Oh yes, it was 1984 and the very last ep of the 5th Doctor (now, I love Fivey and I love Ash...). I wanted to see some footage of this and found it on youtube and couldn't help but squeeeing, thinking he's absolutely gorgeous and making a few screenshots:

and here's the video he has such a nice laugh/giggle/snort/smile

I saw this first time round!
Wasn't he a cutie back then?
If it was 1985, he must have only been about 25, cos he was born in 1960 (he's a few months younger than Mr Melon)
If you get the chance to watch the whole four-episode story it's an absolute belter - it's the last of the Fifth Doctor stories and everyone in it is fantastic.
Written by Robert Holmes, who also wrote for Blake's 7 and is one of the best TV writers of that period IMHO.

Yep, I'm trying to get my hands on a copy of the DVD (as my internet is too slow to get it off the web) but for now the prices are a bit too high for me.
I've heard about this episode and that it's a good one. So I really want to own this on DVD.
He was so adorable back then.

Can I wade in and be controversial and say that I think he's actually improved with age?!

*grins* Woah...
Ok, In picture number 2 he looks...really creapy...likes he's going to produce a knife from around his back at any moment and stab someone....look at the evil in that look! LOL!
But, in the last few pictures he looks ok...the profile ones...and the ones of his jawline and face structure...I love his facial structure...very strong...
Although, I'm not really an Ash/RG lover *ducks any flying projectiles* He's attractive, sure, but not my kind of man....
Anyway, carry on with the Ash/RG loving...

Most actors improve with age *giggle* I mean, RG looked adorable when he was younger, just like a puppy. He looks hot now.
Mark Harmon is also one of those actors who has improved with age and IMHO David Tennant as well (I saw him as Campbell in Takin' over the asylum... very cute, but... ).

*giggles* There are a few good scenes in these episodes. You actually will care for all the characters. I just watched because of DT but I really cared for the characters and actually cried when... whoops. Spoiler. There's this great 'Manic' scene for DT when Campbell wants to save the radiostation.
He's adorable, cute, loveable, sweet, hot, pretty, talented and cute and hot and hot and...
*brain got turned to mush*
*headslaps self*
It's a fantastic mini-series.
