Season 1, Episode 6: The Last Gamble

First, they con a man into 'buying' the London Eye, and they think they get away with it. But the team is looking into bigger money: the gang try to con a horse race gambler into a con called The Wire. Sir Anthony Reeves, who also deals with prostitutes, becomes interested when Albert reveals the name of a winning horse. So the team can con Anthony, they use a video recorder to play the horse races 2 minutes behind real broadcast time, which gives enough time for Anthony to place a bet on the winning horse as he is 'secretly' told by Stacie. But will the team manage to convince Anthony that he should put half a million on the last bet before the fake syndicate is shut down? Will Danny leave the gang to go and work with Ray Fordhamm, another con artist? And will the conned 'onwer' of the London Eye return to get his 25k back?

Ah this is the best of the series in my opinion. I love the big scene at the end, Danny rocks so much.

He does rock!! The end scene was so realistic, but I did think...are they for real? Of course not!!

This ep was on Dutch TV last saturday. I already watched it but.. oh well.
I'll pay attention to the subtitles next time, because sometimes they're funny or don't make any sense
Mom was curious to what I was watching though... might have spiked her curiosity.
I loved this episode. It's great. I remember when I first watched it I thought the end of the episode was real, and that Mickey and Danny truly hated each other. I think that even the rest of the team were afraid, because Ash looked kind of shocked, even though he gave the funny money to the man who's supposed to have bought the London Eye.
And Ash was brilliant in this ep *nods*

Yessss! I decided to watch this ep again yesterday as it's one of my favourites. I often notice the incidental music on Hustle, and I love the stuff they use on this one because it conjures up the images and atmosphere of the horse races.
David Haig is a terrific actor and he has the horrible fat cat down to a T.
And yes indeedy, Ash *is* brilliant in this one. Watch him dive when that shotgun goes off!

I just watched it again and I loved it.
I payed special attention on the diving of Ash.
He was wonderful 
And tonight a 22.15 on canvas (Belgian television) I'm going to watch season 2 episode 2 confessions.
